After earning promotion through the play-offs last season, Valladolid got their campaign off to the perfect start by winning away at Real Zaragoza last weekend. Sevilla collected a valuable three points at the weekend when they came from behind to beat Malaga 2-1 away from home. That win put them into fourth place in the league temporarily before Real Mallorca continued their fine home form this season by disposing of Valencia 3-2 on Sunday to reclaim the coveted Champions League qualifying spot.
