This match has one of the fiercest rivalries in English football and no doubt today’s fixture in the Premier League will be no different. The two clubs currently have quite different situations. Manchester City will look to close the gap at the top with a win over Arsenal in the Premier League in today’s late kick-off. But they will have to do it on-the-road. The Gunners haven’t had the best record this season and Arsene Wenger has come under fire for a number of reasons, but they’re unbeaten in five winning their last two home matches so Roberto Mancini’s men have their work cut out.
Both Norwich and Newcastle are entering their Premier League clash in desperate need of a win, with Norwich suffering losses in their last four and Newcastle losing their last three. However the hosts are our favourite to get back to winning ways at 11/10, with a Newcastle win priced at 9/4.
Sunderland have only won five games this season in the Premier League and sit only four points above the relegation zone in 14th. Their opponents West Ham are 11th and are coming off a 2-1 win over Norwich City last weekend, though their record this season has also been a mixed bag. Both teams will be keen for a win here to extend the gap between themselves and the bottom of the table.
Man City are welcoming Reading to Ethiad Stadium today, and City should be confident of securing a win. They are entering the match in excellent form, having only lost once in the Premier League this season, whereas Reading have lost their last six in succession. City’s only loss has come to league leaders Man United so they should do well against bottom placed Reading, and the Blues are our very strong 1/7 favourite to win.
Liverpool and Fulham ended last season with identical records in the Premier League, and this season there is only two points between them at the moment, with Liverpool ahead with 22 points and Fulham holding 20, so this could be a tight game. With the home advantage Liverpool are our 8/15 favourite, but Fulham should not be written off.
