Wigan are desperate for a win today as they travel to South West London in a bid for points against Fulham in the Premier League. They currently sit 18th in the table, top slot in the relegation zone after winning only one of their last five games.
This match has one of the fiercest rivalries in English football and no doubt today’s fixture in the Premier League will be no different. The two clubs currently have quite different situations. Man United are still top of the table and have only lost three times this season. Liverpool however are in 8th and have had a mixed bag of results under manager Brendan Rodgers.
Manchester City will look to close the gap at the top with a win over Arsenal in the Premier League in today’s late kick-off. But they will have to do it on-the-road. The Gunners haven’t had the best record this season and Arsene Wenger has come under fire for a number of reasons, but they’re unbeaten in five winning their last two home matches so Roberto Mancini’s men have their work cut out.
Both Norwich and Newcastle are entering their Premier League clash in desperate need of a win, with Norwich suffering losses in their last four and Newcastle losing their last three. However the hosts are our favourite to get back to winning ways at 11/10, with a Newcastle win priced at 9/4.
Sunderland have only won five games this season in the Premier League and sit only four points above the relegation zone in 14th. Their opponents West Ham are 11th and are coming off a 2-1 win over Norwich City last weekend, though their record this season has also been a mixed bag. Both teams will be keen for a win here to extend the gap between themselves and the bottom of the table.
